Australia Stocks Lower at Close of Trade, S&P/ASX 200 Down 0.07%

After the close on Tuesday, Australia stocks were lower,  as losses in the Gold, IT and Utilities sectors led shares lower.  At the close in Australia, the S&P/ASX 200 declined 0.07%.

The best players of the session on the S&P/ASX 200 were Monadelphous Group Ltd (AX:MND), which increased 10.59% or 1.250 points to trade at 13.050 at the close.

Temporarily,Vocus Fpo (AX:VOC) added 6.30% or 0.260 points to end at 4.390 and Greencross Ltd (AX:GXL) increased  6.18% or 0.410 points to 7.040 in late trade, 12:30AM ET.

The poorest performers of the session were Independence Group NL (AX:IGO), which declined 6.65% or 0.280 points to trade at 3.930 at the close. Aconex Ltd (AX:ACX) fell 6.17% or 0.230 points to end at 3.500 and Altium Ltd (AX:ALU) declined 5.75% or 0.485 points to 7.945.

Declining stocks outnumbered progressing ones on the Australia Stock Exchange by 619 to 479 and 348 ended unmoved.

Shares in Monadelphous Group Ltd (AX:MND) increased  to 52-week peaks, increasing  10.59% or 1.250 to 13.050.

The S&P/ASX 200 VIX, which gauges the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options, declined 2.90% to 11.113.

Delivery of gold futures for April declined 0.38% or 4.75 to $1234.35 a troy ounce. Somewhere else in commodities trading, delivery of crude oil in April increase 0.37% or 0.20 to hit $53.98 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract dropped 0.14% or 0.08 to trade at $56.10 a barrel.

AUD/USD declined 0.25% to 0.7669, while AUD/JPY increased  0.24% to 87.15.

The US Dollar Index Futures increased  0.27% at 101.19.

After the close on Monday,  Mexico stocks were lower, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Consumer Staples and Materials sectors led shares lower.  At the close in Mexico, the IPC dropped  0.17%, 05:30PM ET.

The best players of the session on the IPC were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which increased 1.69% or 0.350 points to trade at 21.040 at the close. In the meantime, Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) added 1.57% or 0.450 points to end at 29.050 and Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA) increased  1.44% or 1.26 points to 88.57 in late trade.

The poorest players  of the session were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which declined 1.88% or 9.530 points to trade at 498.460 at the close. VOLARIS A(MX:VOLARA) fell  1.87% or 0.52 points to end at 27.26 and Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico (MX:SANMEXB) declined 1.66% or 0.500 points to 29.630.

Increasing  stocks outnumbered decreasing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 98 to 47 and 8 ended untouched.

Shares in VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA) decline  to 52-week lows; down 1.87% or 0.52 to 27.26.

Delivery of gold futures for April declined 0.05% or 0.60 to $1238.50 a troy ounce. Somewhere else in commodities trading, delivery of crude oil in April increased 0.39% or 0.21 to hit $53.99 a barrel, although the April Brent oil contract unmoved 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $56.13 a barrel.

USD/MXN declined 0.05% to 20.3672, while EUR/MXN fell 0.02% to 21.6111.
